When you live in a world where the closest thing to manual labor most people get is carrying out the trash every Tuesday Night…  it’s nice to get out & work up a sweat.  And thanks to a driver that was probably more interested in their SnapChat than where the car was going, my folks had a dead tree that needed to be removed today…  So as the day went along, I started snapping some photos & thought it might make for a neat entry…  So without further ado…

After years of crossing this creek on an earth bridge on an adjacent neighbor’s property, we finally built this timber bridge in Middle School…  Held up to the tractor, trailers, multiple trucks… But time inevitably wins…

The Point…  As in the very tip of where our 20 acres converged…  You can mostly see where the fence line was…

The old loft… where so many bales of peanut vines were tossed into & stored…

The old stable where my favorite chore waited for me annually…

The “front yard” where that Yellow Labrabeagle met his end…

House

This was my grandfather’s tractor…  He passed away following a tragic freak accident that left him pinned under it…  The tractor itself is still ticking…  and may very well outlive all of us…
